Work began on Wednesday 7-12-06. The first order of business was to begin the demolition. Much of the wooden structure of the building is simply too rotten to be saved and must be removed.
In the picture above the walls that formed the lobby have been removed, opening the structure up into the auditorium and side office.

Tuesday 7-18-06, the two projectors were removed from the theater by hoisting them through the roof using a crane provided by Haas Roofing.

Roofers from Haas Roofing began putting on the new roof on Monday 7-17-06. The job took them just a little over a week.
The projectors are currently both in storage. The plan is to restore at least one of them for display.
